The purpose of this task:

Leadership's definition is vision in motion. In today’s task, you will find your superpower. Instead of following the path of others, let's spend your time efficiently creating your own. We'll teach you about the motion later; for now, let's focus on your VISION. Today, you'll paint such a vivid, compelling picture of your future self that you can feel it in your bones.

Why bother with this "dreaming" business? Because a crystal-clear personal vision is your ultimate secret weapon:

  • A Guiding Star: It becomes your compass for every decision, helping you prioritize.
  • An Unlocking Force: It reveals the specific skills and competencies you need to develop, giving you a clear path forward.
  • A Source of Power: It connects you to a powerful "future self," igniting motivation and conviction.

Remember this golden truth, BVisionRY leader: "If you can't see it, you can't build it." If you don't know what a truly magnificent leader looks and feels like, you simply can't become one. This is your exhilarating chance to design your ideal self with audacious vision and tangible direction.

The process for completing this task:

It's time to stop waiting for chances and luck. It is time to start using your imagination and feelings to start creating and owning your future. This process will help you make your vision tangible, so you can start living it today.

Step 1: Enter Vision Mode Find a quiet space where you can close your eyes and truly connect with yourself. Get into the right mindset using a few simple tools:

  • Set the Scene: Light a candle, play some instrumental music, and silence all notifications.
  • Visualize: Close your eyes and imagine it's the future now. You are the leader you hope to be. Live your dream as if it is happening now, see it clearly and feel it.

Step 2: Interview Your Future Self With that image in your mind, get ready to capture the details. You can use a journal, a Google Doc, or a voice recorder to answer these questions:

  • What do I feel?
  • What are the qualities of the New ME?
  • What do I do for a living?
  • How do I look like (your physical look)?
  • What car am I driving?
  • Where do I live?
  • What does my house look like?
  • Who do I see from friends and family & how are they contributing to me?
  • What does the work environment feel like?
  • How do I feel after working hours?
  • What do I do for fun?
  • What do my mornings look like?
  • How is my family interaction?
  • What do people say about you when you're not in the room?
  • How do you speak, think, and behave in your role?
  • What is different about how you make decisions?
  • What’s the atmosphere like in your presence?
  • What parts of that leader are already alive in you today?
  • How do I handle pressure and stress and how do I overcome them?
  • How do I inspire others to grow into their best selves?
  • What kind of energy do I bring to people around me?
  • What are the problems I am solving for my community and work?
  • How am I making a difference in the world?
  • Who is my network and how do we support each other?
  • How do I approach setbacks and how do I learn from them?
  • How do I define success and how do I measure it?
  • What books are you reading?
  • What are you excited to start learning next?

Step 3: Get a High-Level Overview

First, let's ask the AI to break your vision down into clear, manageable categories. This helps both you and the AI focus on each part of your future self.

Instructions: Copy and paste your entire future self vision into the AI tool. Then, use the following prompt:

Prompt to Use: "Based on my future self vision (you can paste your full vision here), please break it down into 5-7 key categories. For example, 'Leadership,' 'Business Growth,' 'Personal Life,' and 'Mindset.' Tell me what aspects of my vision fall into each category."

Tip: The AI’s output will give you a map of all the different parts of your vision.

Step 4: Deep Dive into Each Category

Now, we'll take a deep dive into each of those categories, one at a time. This is how you'll get a very long, detailed list of skills.

Instructions: Take the categories the AI gave you in Step 1. For each category, use the following prompt. You can replace the example of "Business Growth" with a new category each time you run the prompt.

Prompt to Use: "Based on the 'Business Growth' category of my vision (list the details from that category here, like the large team, big client deals, and excellent reputation), please provide a comprehensive list of all the specific skills and competencies I would need to have to achieve this. Be very detailed and list as many as you can think of."

Tip: Repeat this prompt for every category you want to explore, such as "Personal Life" and "Mindset," to build an exhaustive list for your entire vision.

Step 5: Build Your Skill & Competency Inventory

Now you've gathered all the raw material for your personal blueprint. Your final task is to have the AI organize it into a clear, easy-to-read inventory.

Instructions: Take all of the lists of skills and competencies you generated in Step 2. Copy and paste them into your AI tool, then use the following prompt to have it build your inventory for you.

Prompt to Use: "I have generated a long list of skills and competencies related to my future leadership vision. Please organize all of the skills and competencies from the list I've provided into a single table with two columns. The first column should be titled 'Skill/Competency' and the second should be 'Definition.' For each item, please write a brief, one-sentence definition."

Tip: The final output will be a perfectly formatted table that you can copy and paste into your submission. This inventory, submitted along with your Vision Story, will form the foundation of your personal roadmap!
