Close the Gap

Hello BVisionRYs! 

Thank you for your energy and active participation in our first workshop, "Design Your Future to Close the Gap." It was a privilege to witness your breakthroughs as we navigated the space between where you stand today and where you are headed.

During our time together, we explored:

  • The Power of Vision: Learning to use vision as a strategic leadership tool.
  • The Bridge: Navigating the critical transition between your "Now" and your "Future."
  • AI-Driven Insight: Utilizing custom AI prompts to highlight the contrast between your current and future self and extracting those vital "AHA" moments.
  • Identifying Leaks: Pinpointing the daily habits or mindsets that drain your potential and finding practical tools to plug those gaps.

Your Mission

Now, it is time to move from insight to integration. Insight without action is just information; for your new leadership tools to stay sharp, they must be used.

Remember: If you do not put what you learned into practice, your tools will rust.

Complete the following assignment to solidify your transformation and begin stepping into your Future Self today. I can't wait to see your progress!


The purpose of this Assignment: 

To move from a vision of the future to a lived reality today. This assignment uses AI as a strategic mirror to help you identify the specific Mindsets, Skills, and Habits required to embody your Future Self.

The process for completing this task:

Step 1: Reflect & Respond

Review the list of leadership questions we developed during the workshop (focused on your Current Self vs. your Future Self). For each question, write an honest, in-depth response comparing your "Now" to your "Future Vision.

  • Note: Don't self-edit, the more honest you are about the "Now," the more powerful the AI analysis will be.

Step 2: The "AHA" Prompt (Discovery)

For each answer you wrote in Step 1, run our first AI Prompt: The Discovery Prompt.

  • Input your answer into the prompt.
  • Note the "AHA" moments the AI identifies regarding the contrast between your current habits and your future potential.

Copy/Paste this into the AI:

"I have just completed an analysis of my 'Current Reality' and my 'Future Self.' I want you to act as a reflective coach. I will provide you with a summary of both states. Your goal is to help me find the 'Resonance'—the specific piece of information about my future self that reveals a hidden truth about my current life.

Here is my data:

  • My Future Self is: [Insert here]
  • My Current Reality is: [Insert here]

Please analyze these and ask me 2-3 deep questions to help me identify my 'Aha' moment. Specifically, look for why my current habits might be coping mechanisms for things my future self has already solved."

Step 3: The Leadership Gap Analysis

Now, take the same data and run our second prompt to get your technical roadmap.

Copy/Paste this into the AI:

Task: "I am working on bridging the gap between my Current Leadership Self and my Future Leadership Self. Based on the responses I will provide, act as an Executive Coach and perform a Deep-Dive Gap Analysis.

  • Current Leadership Self: [Insert HERE ]
  • Future Leadership Self: [Insert HERE]

Please categorize the gap into these three specific pillars:

  1. Mindset Shifts: What internal beliefs or perspectives must change to inhabit the future state and which ones to acquire for closing the gap?
  2. Skill Acquisition: What skills are currently missing or under-leveled that I need to learn to close the gap (a skill is a specific, single, learnable ability you can practice (e.g., active listening, storytelling, staying calm under pressure).?
  3. Habit Transformation: What daily recurring actions must be 'deleted' and what new habits must be 'installed' to close the gap?

Output Requirements: Please present the analysis as a sheet plan in a structured format using the following three pillars:

  1. Mindset Shifts: Identify the exact mindset that is contributing to closing the current gap  "Limiting Beliefs" in the Current State and the "Empowering Truths" required for the Future State. Provide a Bridge Strategy for mental reframing.
  2. Skill Acquisition: List all specific skills that are missing. Provide a brief explanation of its definition for each and how it can help me close the gap.
  3. Habit Transformation: * Deletions: What daily actions must be stopped immediately? What habits do you suggest I start implementing to help me close the gap. 
    • Installations: What specific new routines (Morning, Deep Work, or Evening) must be started?
    • Provide a Bridge Strategy for habit stacking and consistency.

The Action Plan Outcome: Conclude with an Implementation Roadmap. in a table format.

Step 4: Construct Your Future Self Plan

Based on the information gathered in Steps 2 & 3, create a Full Practice Roadmap. Your plan should include:

    1. Discoveries: Your "AHA" moments.
    2. Habit Shifts: Which specific habits are you deleting, and what are you replacing them with?
    3. Mindset Shifts: Which narrative are you stopping, and what is your new "Empowering Truth"?
    4. Skills Acquisition: A list of all  skills you will learn to close the gap.
    5. The Daily Toolkit: Three specific, "everyday tools" (e.g., a specific breathing exercise, a morning ritual, or a communication script) you will use starting tomorrow.

Your submission for this first assignment will be in a Google Sheet, where you will add a tab for:

Tab Three- Mindset Shifts: Which narrative are you stopping, and what is your new "Empowering Truth"?

Tab Four- Skills Acquisition: A list of all  skills you will learn to close the gap.

Tab Five- The Daily Toolkit: Three specific, "everyday tools" (e.g., a specific breathing exercise, a morning ritual, or a communication script) you will use starting tomorrow.

Final Review: Take a moment to review all fields to ensure they are complete. The sheet saves automatically.

Submit Your Work:

  • Click the "Share" button in the top right corner of your master Google Sheet.
  • Change the sharing setting from "Restricted" to "Anyone with the link."
  • Set the access to "Editor."
  • Click "Copy link" and paste it into the Lighthouse submission portal.
